Trumpet Pitcher Chaos - Giclee Print (Unframed)

from £22.00

'Trumpet Pitcher Chaos ' or ‘Why did the flower wave? To eat the balloon’

Not one for the globophobes (or botanophobes I suppose), but here’s a drawing based on a ‘joke’ that my daughter made up and told me. Fingers crossed she turns out to be a famous comedian when she’s older and that this is her first recorded joke, then this drawing will gain traction and once it’s viral no doubt the Etsy orders will start rolling in. Playing the long game there somewhat…

To be honest this is the only one of her ‘jokes’ that this would work with so far, all the others involve ‘poo-poo’ but at least this one has an element of logic behind it. Anyway little did she know that I’d turn her sweet piece of whimsy into a plant based dystopia, because it seems that’s the sort of dad I am. As a concession the balloon is rainbow coloured as that’s her favourite ‘colour’ apparently. She’s just told me she loves it, hopefully others do to.

The plants are Trumpet Pitchers, a type of carnivorous plant whose leaves have evolved into a funnel or pitcher shape in order to trap insects. Insect numbers are probably declining (well they are in the UK anyway), so why wouldn’t these plants go after three people going for a relaxing hot air balloon ride one day instead? Just be careful where you fly is my advice.

Specifications:

- Printed with the Ultrachrome HDR archival ink system of the Epson 7890 LFP on Hahnemuehle Giclee German Etching Paper (Matt FineArt – textured paper, 310 gsm, 100% a-Cellulose, white, mould-made)

- Print ships rolled in a cardboard tube

- Frame is not included (just for illustration purposes)

All UK orders are sent by Royal Mail 1st Class, and tracking information will be supplied with shipping confirmation.

All artwork designed in London, and all products manufactured and printed throughout the UK.
