Venus - The Planets - Giclee Print (Unframed)

from £22.00

Venus - part of my Planets series

Venus, the second planet in our solar system. This print shows the landscape of Venus, which is the most volcanic known planet. It also shows the Venera 7, a Soviet spacecraft, which was the first probe mankind sent to the green planet on 15th December 1970, and also became the first spacecraft to soft land on another planet and the first to transmit data from there back to Earth. Alas it didn’t last very long before the atmosphere destroyed it (23 minutes in fact). There’s also a couple of classical references (to Ancient Rome and the Zodiac), can you spot them?

This print is the ideal present for someone born on the 15th December, or who is interested in space travel, astronomy or science in general… or maybe you happen to know a Venusian instead?
