Mars

Mars - part of my Planets and days of the years series (drew this in 2022).

Missed this a few days ago, but the 24th January was the 21st anniversary of the robotic rover Opportunity which landed on Mars on the 24th January 2004, and was active until mid-2018, 57 times its originally designed lifespan. Sadly in that time it found no signs of life. There’s also a couple of classical references (to Ancient Rome and the Zodiac) and some fictional inhabitants (or. are they?), can you spot all three? But the biggest mystery is why the Martians and collecting tennis balls…
